I went to this movie with very low expectations and was hoping to be pleasantly surprised. But my gut said i wouldn't be and it wasn't wrong. In shark night we meet a group of people in their late teens or early twenties as they head off to an island to have a good time and get very drunk. What could possibly go wrong? Nothing until one of the group goes out water skiing and as he is showing off gets attacked by a shark. So now this little dream trip is soon becoming a nightmare with a mean shark out to kill whenever he can .I know i didn't expect much from the advert saying from the director of the final destination because i thought that was a pretty awful film and if that's all they have to go by then we are in trouble. It would probably be as bad as jaws 3, which was pretty bad. but no shark movie is ever going to come close to jaws in fairness and although people say don't compare it to the classic you can't help but to. It wasn't original enough for me, like when deep blue sea came out. I thought very original and it turned away from the jaws type of movie, it was a really fun and different movie. But with shark night it's just another run of the mill 3D movie that is very by the numbers. Don't bother with this one, there is many other better movies in the cinema at the moment that deserve your viewing before this.
